Nirasaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture (Mayor: Hisao Naito) announced that starting May 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM, it will begin offering "home-delivery type" return gifts on the "Famima Furusato Nozei" service operated by FamilyMart Co., Ltd. (President: Takeo Kotani). Previously, Nirasaki City offered electronic coupons for items like "Tapioca Milk Tea" via the "FamiPay" app. By introducing home-delivery gifts, the city can now send popular local whiskey, wine, and seasonal produce like peaches and Shine Muscat grapes to donors nationwide. "Famima Furusato Nozei" is gaining attention as a new service utilizing FamilyMart's 16,000 stores and the "FamiPay" app, creating a "convenience store x hometown tax" donation style. This launch combines the immediacy of store-redeemable coupons with the experiential value of enjoying local specialties at home.
