The "Nirasaki Open Factory" is set to be held again this year!

The Nirasaki Open Factory Executive Committee (Nirasaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture) will hold the highly popular event "Nirasaki Open Factory 2026" for six days from July 30, 2026 (Thu) to August 4, 2026 (Tue).

This event is a special period where you can sneak into the city's factories, which are usually difficult to access, for tours and manufacturing experience.

Advance reservation entries (first-come, first-served basis) for each factory started on the official website on June 30!

Nirasaki City is home to many attractive factories that support our lives, including companies in the semiconductor field that are world-class.

This event is a special period where people of all ages, from children to adults, can experience "the joy of manufacturing" using their five senses and rediscover the charm of the region.

Exciting Experience and Tour Menus You Can Only Do Here!

This year, a total of 28 companies and organizations are participating! You can choose from three diverse participation styles.

[Experience + Tour] Challenge Your Craftsmanship!

Workshops where you can get hands-on experience will be held at a total of 16 companies and booths, including learning at a winery, metal processing, painting, automotive maintenance, and food manufacturing.

[Tour] Witness the Factory's Power Up Close!

You can tour the behind-the-scenes of dynamic manufacturing lines, which are usually not visible, at a total of 4 companies, including a newspaper printing center, a soy sauce brewery, and a pharmaceutical factory.

[Online] Participate from Home!

Two companies, a precision machinery manufacturer and a locally popular bakery (Corner Pocket), will be featured in online programs.

August 1 & 2 Only! "Monozukuri Experience Event in NICORI" Also Held

A special experience event organized by the executive committee will be held for two days only on the 3rd floor of the Citizen Exchange Center NICORI!

You can create your own unique T-shirt (1,000 yen), tote bag (500 yen), and can badge (free) using your own illustrations or event-exclusive designs.

It's perfect for summer vacation homework or creating memories, as you can participate casually without reservations.

"This event, held under the slogan 'Our Town is Beyond Imagination,' has seen increasing participation with each iteration, and this year we are aiming to attract 1,200 visitors.

Recently, the value of 'manufacturing' is being re-evaluated in society. Although I myself have been involved in manufacturing for over 50 years, the 'joy of creating things' has not changed. This year, school officials and university students have joined the executive committee, and the experience space and company introduction space have been enhanced more than ever before. Each program is on a first-come, first-served basis, so registration will close once capacity is reached. Early entry is recommended!

Proceed to the reservation site (Peatix) from the "Reserve Here" button on each company's page to enter.

*Direct phone calls or other inquiries to each company cannot be accepted. A free Peatix account registration is required to apply.

Participation Requirements: For factory tours and experiences, elementary school students and younger must be accompanied by a guardian. Please come directly to the factory on the day of the event.
