Holding the Yamato-imo Grating World Championship: 'TORORO World Championship'!

This year marks the 13th anniversary of the 'Mugitoro Festival,' where visitors can enjoy and experience the appeal of 'Yamato-imo' (mountain yam), a specialty product of Ota City. This year, the popular annual Yamato-imo grating competition will be upgraded and held as the 'TORORO World Championship' to determine the world's fastest yam grater. Participation requires prior reservation at Michi-no-Eki Ota (registrations close once capacity is reached).

Ota City-born influencer 'Kopi' to serve as a one-day station master at Michi-no-Eki Ota!

On the day, influencer 'Kopi,' originally from Ota City and boasting a total of 1.2 million social media followers, will appear as the one-day station master for Michi-no-Eki Ota, the venue of the Mugitoro Festival. Kopi, who is active as a creator, singer, and actor, will liven up the venue with everyone!

Various other events will be held at the venue, including the popular 'Mekata de Don' project, where participants can win Ota-grown vegetables by guessing the total weight of their purchased items, all-you-can-pack potato events, a local band music stage hosted by Michi-no-Eki Ota Deputy Station Master Mika Gurai, and displays including disaster relief vehicles from Nitta Food Support (NPO) and disaster beds from Kotobukiya Fronte Co., Ltd. The event will be moderated by the Michi-no-Eki Ota Goodwill Ambassadors, Ankanminkan.
