[New Initiative] Launch of "Preconception Care Outreach Program" for Elementary and Junior High Schools and Companies, Incorporating the Latest "Femtech" Perspectives!

Overview

Saijo City (Mayor: Mitsuyoshi Ochi) is launching a "Preconception Care" awareness and promotion project that incorporates the latest "Femtech" perspective to support citizens' future health and life design. Outreach programs will be sequentially conducted by dispatching expert lecturers to elementary and junior high schools within the city and to companies and organizations registered as "Saijo City Health and Wellness Promotion Partners."

This is a pioneering initiative nationwide where the local government directly addresses societal issues such as economic losses due to women's specific health challenges and menstrual stress among children and students, in collaboration with expert lecturers.

*Femtech: A coined term combining "Female" and "Technology," referring to products and services that solve women's specific health issues through technology.

*Preconception Care: For young generations to face their own health in their daily lives, in line with their future life plans.

Includes mutual understanding of women's health issues, considerations, introduction of specific initiatives, and group work.
