In Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, the Sakura Fireworks Festa, one of the largest in the Kanto region, has historically been held annually at the Sakura Furusato Square adjacent to Lake Inbanuma. However, due to expansion and maintenance work at the square, the venue is currently unusable, leading to a decision to postpone the event until the renewal work is complete.
Following the renewal, the city plans to hold an even grander fireworks festival on the shores of Lake Inbanuma, with the goal of launching large 'two-shaku tama' fireworks into the Sakura night sky once again. To achieve this, a crowdfunding campaign has been initiated.
Project Title: Revive the two-shaku tama fireworks display at Lake Inbanuma! The largest 'Sakura Fireworks Festa' in the Kanto region Target Donation Amount: 1,000,000 JPY Acceptance Period: June 4, 2026, to December 29, 2026 (Satofull), and until September 1, 2026 (Furusato Choice)
Although the city held decentralized fireworks displays while the main venue was unavailable, surveys revealed that many, including Sakura citizens, are eagerly awaiting the Sakura Fireworks Festa held at Lake Inbanuma. After a three-year hiatus, the city hopes to deliver the dynamic two-shaku tama fireworks unique to Sakura once again. We ask for your warm support and cooperation.
