[Hida Takayama, Gifu Prefecture] Hida Region Gourmet Gathering! "2026 Spring Hida Taste Festival"

The "2026 Spring Hida Taste Festival," gathering the flavors of Hida, will be held on June 6th (Sat) and 7th (Sun) at the Hida Takayama Machi no Taiken Koryukan Square. The popular event, held twice a year in spring and autumn in Takayama city, aims to promote local food products, expand sales channels, and strengthen ties between the three cities (Takayama, Hida, Gero) and one village (Shirakawa) in the Hida region. Started in 1986, this is the 76th edition, marking its 41st year. This festival will feature Hida's proud flavors, including popular Hida beef skewers, Mitarashi dango, Keichan-don, Hida beef offal, and local sake. Additionally, there will be special stalls featuring grilled mackerel sushi from Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, and trout sushi from Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture, both friendly cities of Takayama. Furthermore, on June 7th (Sun), the "Garakuta-ichi" antique market will be held on Sanmachi Street. We look forward to seeing you there.
