[Hida Takayama, Gifu Prefecture] Your Words Can Protect the Smiles of the Community! Call for Entries for the "Slogan Contest to Protect Oral Health"

The Hida Oral Health Association (Secretariat: Takayama City Health Promotion Division) is holding a "Slogan Contest to Protect Oral Health" for residents of Takayama City, Hida City, and Shirakawa Village. The contest aims to raise awareness of dental and oral health and promote lifelong health. Anyone from young children to the elderly is welcome to apply. Submissions are being accepted until Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Background and Purpose of the Contest

Every year, June 4-10 is designated as "Dental and Oral Health Week," during which nationwide awareness activities for oral health promotion are conducted. Oral health is deeply connected to overall health and the "joy of eating." The Hida Oral Health Association planned this contest to raise awareness of oral health throughout the community. The goal is to have people of all ages participate and think about dental and oral health as their own issue. We look forward to receiving wonderful words that support the smiles of the community.

Application Guidelines

Eligibility: Residents of Takayama City, Hida City, and Shirakawa Village

Period: Monday, June 1, 2026 to Tuesday, June 30, 2026

Content: Unpublished original slogans themed on dental and oral health (excluding product names, etc.)

Awards and Prizes

Entries will be judged in two categories: "Junior High School Students and Below" and "High School Students and Above." Winners will be honored at the "Oral Health Lecture" on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The grand prize and excellence award winners will receive certificates of merit and gift certificates, among other prizes.
