Toyohashi City in Aichi Prefecture is actively supporting individuals aspiring to become bus or taxi drivers by hosting a driving experience session and a joint company job fair. This marks the fifth edition of the event since its inception in fiscal year 2024.

Previously held only on weekday afternoons, this year the event has been divided into two sessions on Saturday (morning and afternoon) to make it easier for those currently working during the week to participate.

Envisioning a Career as a Driver

At the "Driving Experience Session," participants can drive buses and taxis on a practice track. Sitting in the driver's seat and taking hold of the steering wheel allows participants to better visualize themselves working in the industry.

On the same day, a joint job fair featuring local bus and taxi operators will be held. Participating operators include Toyotetsu Bus Co., Ltd., Tokai Kotsu Co., Ltd., Toyotetsu Taxi Co., Ltd., and Yoshida Kotsu Co., Ltd. Attendees can listen to all four companies at once, compare their working styles and atmospheres, and choose the company that best suits them.

Each company offers support systems to obtain a professional Class 2 driver's license after joining. An informational session by Yutaka Driving School will also be held, further deepening understanding of the profession and life after recruitment.

Backup for Career Design and Business Etiquette

Interested individuals can also attend career design training led by consultants, where they can re-examine their experiences and strengths, as well as business etiquette courses. These sessions cover essential knowledge, the mindset required for the job, as well as customer service skills and language usage, which will prove useful upon entering the workforce.

Venue: Toyohashi Industrial Human Resources Development Center (1-3 Shino-wari, Jinno-shinden-cho, Toyohashi City)

Target: Holders of a standard driver's license (AT-only accepted) or those expected to obtain one within one year (driving experience is limited to license holders only).

Capacity: 20 people per session (first-come, first-served).

Application: Submit via the application form by Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Direct delivery of the application form, mail, or FAX is also accepted.
