(Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hirotake Kubo), which operates a circular platform for furniture and appliances, is pleased to announce that its CEO, Hirotake Kubo, will be a guest speaker at the '176th STIG PoP Seminar' to be held on the University of Tokyo's Hongo Campus on June 12, 2026 (Fri).

On the day, under the theme 'Social Implementation of Durable Goods Circular Business,' he will talk about the mechanism of our platform and future prospects.
Background and Purpose of the Seminar
Under the vision of 'Living freely and lightly,' our company offers 'CLAS,' a rental and subscription service for furniture and appliances for individuals, and 'CLAS Biz,' which creates spaces for offices and homes for corporate clients. Through these services, we have proposed a new way of using durable goods to circulate them, aiming to realize a 'new social infrastructure' that circulates goods without discarding them.
We have built a unique system for repairing and cleaning returned products to reuse them, and as of the end of April 2026, the total number of circulations has exceeded 330,000.
We are promoting the formation of a circular society by eliminating products that are discarded before reaching their service life and ensuring that they reach their full potential. In an environmental ministry pilot project, our business has been confirmed to reduce waste generation and resource input by 38% and CO2 emissions by 36% compared to traditional buy-and-discard models (as of February 2023).
At this seminar, we plan to discuss the specific mechanisms of this 'circular platform' and our future prospects for building next-generation infrastructure that circulates furniture and appliances in society for a long time.
