Seminar Content
When considering American business, understanding English and American culture is typically emphasized.
However, in today’s U.S. market, due to the growing Hispanic population, increasing purchasing power, and rising influence in the labor market, relying solely on 'general U.S. training' is no longer sufficient to fully grasp the realities of local business operations.
Hispanics are people with roots in Spanish-speaking Latin America and the Caribbean regions.
They are not only key consumers in American society but also vital workforce members and local talent supporting corporate activities.
In B2C, marketing and advertising strategies tailored to the Hispanic market are crucial.
In B2B, on-site management, talent recruitment, and collaboration within supply chains will be key drivers for future business growth.
At the same time, collaborating with Hispanic talent requires more than just language skills—it demands understanding of cultural backgrounds and national characteristics, along with a willingness to meet them halfway.
Daily management practices such as employee interviews, goal alignment, fair evaluation, and treatment significantly impact the success of overseas operations.
In this seminar, speaker Kazuyoshi Higuchi, who advanced automotive parts trading and investment projects across the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and Asia at Sumitomo Corporation and was stationed in Mexico four times for a total of 17 years, will share his insights.
Drawing on his extensive practical experience—including serving as President of Sumitomo Corporation Mexico, advising 20 joint venture automotive parts manufacturing companies, and supporting Japanese enterprises as a Special Envoy Ambassador for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs—he will explain the critical importance of the Hispanic market and talent in American business.
From demographic and purchasing power trends among Hispanics to cross-cultural communication, local employee development, and pan-American global talent strategies, this seminar will deliver practical management approaches and talent development frameworks essential for future success in U.S. business.
