Taipower Awards Scholarships to 950 Students in Penghu

The 'Power Development Operation Assistance Scholarship and Special Grant' ceremony for the Penghu region was held today at the Jianshan Power Plant. A total of 3.5 million TWD was awarded to 950 students from various schools. Officials from the Penghu County Government and Taipower attended the ceremony. Jianshan Power Plant Director Li Feng-chun stated that Taipower has long been committed to supporting local education and established these scholarships to encourage students to pursue their studies with peace of mind. Su Chi-chang, a counselor for the Penghu County Government, encouraged the students to cherish their learning opportunities and contribute back to Penghu in the future. The scholarship program, which began in 1990, has benefited hundreds of thousands of students over the past 36 years.
