New Taipei Cultural Bureau: Ma Ying-jeou Foundation Donation Issues Should Be Clarified by Board

The New Taipei City Government stated today that the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation has submitted its annual work plan and work report in accordance with the law. Concerns regarding its donations should be clarified by the board of directors. When asked by the media today about the recent controversy surrounding the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation, New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih said that the relevant departments are handling the matter according to regulations. The New Taipei City Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that, according to Article 25 of the Foundation Act, foundations must submit their annual work plan by the end of January and the previous year's work report by the end of May. The bureau noted that the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation has submitted these on time and will be reviewed according to regulations. Regarding media questions about donation concerns, the bureau responded that the foundation should convene a board meeting to clarify the issues.
