CNA, Taipei, May 27. Cheng Lie Navigation held its annual shareholders' meeting today and completed the board election, with Tsai Pang-chuan re-elected as Chairman. Tsai stated that Cheng Lie will carry out a new vessel construction plan from 2027 to 2028, which will provide more room for growth in core business profits. Cheng Lie's profit last year was the second highest in its history. Cheng Lie elected 4 directors and 4 independent directors today. The list includes current Chairman Tsai Pang-chuan, Cheng Zhan Investment representative Tsai Ching-chung, Lo Chun-yu, Shen Yi-wen, and independent directors Tai Chih-tsung, Yen Shu-yang, Wu Tien-ming, and Lin Shih-chuan. The terms of the current directors expire on May 31, 115, so the election was held in advance. The new directors will serve a 3-year term from May 27, 115, to May 26, 118. Cheng Lie's consolidated revenue in 114 was 2.368 billion TWD, with a net profit attributable to the company of 646 million TWD and earnings per share of 2.01 TWD, marking the second-highest profit in its history. The board approved a cash dividend of 0.5 TWD per share for 114, with the ex-dividend date set for June 29. Tsai Pang-chuan stated that the company will continue to maintain sustainable operations and growth through its diversification strategy alongside the new vessel construction plan.
