The Ministry of Education in Taiwan is promoting 'Immersion Indigenous Language Courses,' allowing students to naturally learn indigenous vocabulary and sentence structures through activities such as archery and outdoor cooking. To date, over NT$22.38 million in subsidies have been provided, benefiting 164 schools. At Badou Elementary School in Keelung, Amis students explore their culture while learning the language, while at Majia Junior High School in Pingtung, students build a sense of community identity through interviews with tribal elders. The Ministry plans to subsidize 36 schools in the 2026 academic year, with NT$300,000 per school, to turn campuses into hubs for language preservation.
