CNA, Ankara, May 26. Nariman Dzhelialov, Ukraine's Ambassador to Turkey, stated today that he hopes the NATO summit in Ankara on July 7-8 will discuss financial aid for Kyiv. He suggested that NATO members allocate a small portion of their budgets to support Ukraine's security capabilities. However, this idea has faced resistance, as some allies are focused on their own defense spending. German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul proposed that European nations increase bilateral aid, providing 30-40 billion euros annually for the next two years. Dzhelialov noted that Ukraine welcomes Turkey's mediation efforts and emphasized that defense industry cooperation, including drone production and technology transfer, remains a key area of collaboration between Ankara and Kyiv.
