Central News Agency, Taipei, May 27. Machine tool manufacturers Goodway and Awea, along with smart manufacturing solution provider Syntec, announced today that they are deepening their strategic partnership. By combining machine tools, controllers, automation, and robotics technology, they aim to tap into the next generation of smart manufacturing and capture global opportunities in robotic automation.
According to a press release from Syntec, the Goodway Group will leverage its experience in machine tool R&D, high-precision machining, and global market service, while Syntec will provide smart automation integration, industrial robotics, and smart manufacturing technology to co-develop solutions.
The Goodway Group stated that the core of the partnership lies in 'high integration and standardization.' By using Syntec's CNC controllers and robotic systems, they can eliminate complex on-site connection and calibration steps, lower operational barriers, and shorten project delivery times. Furthermore, standardized peripheral modules and universal interfaces will effectively reduce long-term maintenance costs.
Syntec pointed out that AI and robotics are rapidly changing global manufacturing models. The two parties are launching solutions focused on 'flexible intelligence for diverse scenarios,' specifically targeting CNC pick-and-place automation.
Looking toward 2028, Syntec and the Goodway Group stated that the machine tool market will continue to see 'moderate growth and structural differentiation,' with high-speed, high-precision models and machines equipped with sensing and AI capabilities serving as the primary growth drivers.
