Woman in Hsinchu arrested for drug-impaired driving after fleeing police

The Hsinchu City Police Bureau stated on the 27th that a woman under drug surveillance ran multiple red lights on her scooter on the 24th. Despite police sirens, she accelerated to escape. Officers followed at a safe distance and successfully stopped her. She appeared disoriented, and a rapid test confirmed ketamine use. A drug paraphernalia item was also seized. She has been referred to the Hsinchu District Prosecutors Office for public endangerment and drug violations.
