KMT Lawmaker Shows 'Great Goodwill'; CEC Media Budget Cut by Only NT$780,000

Legislator Wang Hung-wei had originally proposed a full cut of the NT$7.8 million media promotion budget. Yu expressed a desire for open communication, hoping to avoid a total cut. Wang questioned the concentration of procurement funds in specific media outlets over the past decade, labeling them 'green media.' After discussions, Wang agreed to a 10% cut (NT$780,000), stating she wanted to give the new chair a chance. Yu acknowledged the goodwill and thanked the legislator for the compromise, noting the pressure of managing major elections with limited funds.
