Malaysia Celebrates Hari Raya Haji, Muslims Honor Spirit of Sacrifice

In the early morning near the Selayang market on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Muslims gathered for prayers to mark Hari Raya Haji. The core spirit of the festival lies in sacrifice, dedication, and sharing. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reminded Muslims to embrace the values of sacrifice and moderation while remaining humble. Migrant workers and refugees also participated in the festivities, and the meat from the sacrificial ritual (Korban) was distributed to the needy.
