TRA Freight Train Derails; Bus Shuttle Service Between Fuli and Guanshan

Central News Agency, Taitung County, May 28. A freight train operated by the state-owned Taiwan Railways Corporation derailed at Chishang Station today. Lai Yen-yu, station master of TRA Taitung Station, told CNA that the incident delayed the No. 410 Tze-Chiang Limited Express by 33 minutes. Due to repair work, bus shuttle services are currently operating between Fuli and Guanshan. TRA apologized, stating that the freight cars hit an electric pole. A level-two emergency response team has been established, and trains passing through Chishang Station will experience minor delays.
