Chiayi Abandoned School Explosion: Prosecutors Seek 7.5-Year Sentence for Two Students

The Chiayi District Prosecutors Office has concluded its investigation into the explosion at an abandoned school in Zhuqi Township. Two university students, surnamed Chou and Yu, were found to have manufactured explosives based on online information and detonated them six times between last December and this April. Prosecutors have requested a 7.5-year prison sentence for each, citing the severe threat to public safety and the destruction of property.
