Woman Arrested for Drug-Impaired Driving in Changhua with Revoked License Plate

A woman surnamed Hong in Changhua County was caught by police while driving a vehicle with a revoked license plate in Tianwei Township. Police discovered several bags of Class 1 and Class 2 drugs in the car, and the suspect tested positive for drug use. She was referred to the prosecutor's office for public endangerment and other charges, and the prosecutor's request for detention was granted. The Beidou Precinct of the Changhua County Police Bureau stated today that officers from the Haifeng Police Station discovered a vehicle with a revoked license plate on Xinsheng Road in Tianwei Township on the morning of the 24th. Upon inspection, police found multiple bags of drugs and drug-laced vape cartridges. A saliva test confirmed the driver was under the influence. She was arrested on the spot for drug-impaired driving, and the contraband and vehicle were seized. The case was referred to the Changhua District Prosecutors Office for violations of the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act and the Criminal Code. The Beidou Precinct emphasized its 'zero tolerance' policy toward drug and alcohol-impaired driving.
