She recently stated that she is not afraid of being typecast and hopes to play even crazier roles in the future. 'I am not afraid of looking ugly; I want to play madmen, beggars—I want to play them all,' she said. Lin, who gained attention last year for her role as a mistress, shared in a press release that she didn't mind the label and felt she 'didn't act enough' at the time. Due to television broadcasting standards, her emotional and physical performance was limited, and she wished she could have gone further. Lin expressed admiration for Japanese actress Sakura Ando and South Korean actress Kim Tae-ri, noting their realistic and nuanced performances.
