(CNA, London, May 28) Despite claims of a ceasefire by the United States and Iran, both sides have attacked each other again, casting uncertainty over the prospects for ending the conflict in the Middle East. As a result, international oil prices rose slightly today, and the three major European stock markets all closed lower. The London FTSE 100 index fell 79.05 points, or 0.75%, to close at 10,425.96. The Frankfurt DAX index fell 85.55 points, or 0.34%, to close at 25,092.25. The Paris CAC 40 index fell 19.02 points, or 0.23%, to close at 8,188.87.
