According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted a US military base on the 28th in retaliation for a US airstrike in southern Iran. AFP reported that, according to IRIB, the IRGC stated that the US airbase from which the airstrikes were launched this morning near the airport in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas was targeted at 4:50 AM.
