On May 31, Okayama University held a special seminar titled 'New Horizons in Advanced Materials Science' at its co-creation innovation lab, KIBINOVE, on the Tsushima Campus. As part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's (MEXT) 'J-PEAKS' project, the seminar featured renowned researchers from Japan and abroad. Hosted by Professor Yuta Nishina, the event covered topics such as carbon nanomaterials and sustainable technology applications. Presentations were also given by Professor Daisuke Suzuki, Professor Zhengtang Luo of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Professor Luyi Sun of the University of Connecticut, focusing on functional polymers and nanostructured materials. President Tomohiro Nasu emphasized the importance of international exchange in driving innovative material development.
