Taichung's famous "Zang A Pang" bakery has been the target of two impersonation incidents on social media in the past month. The bakery reported the incidents to the police, but the police stated that they are unable to track the account owners because Meta refuses to provide data for trademark infringement cases. The bakery is concerned that the sale of counterfeit goods will not only damage its reputation but also pose food safety risks due to improper shelf-life management. Taichung City Councilor Lin Chi-feng noted that such cases are common and urged the government to negotiate with Meta to secure investigative cooperation. "Zang A Pang" does not sell products online and only operates through physical stores, warning customers that any online sales are fraudulent.
