Meteorologist Wu Der-rong stated today that the southward movement of a Meiyu front will bring rain and lower temperatures. By tomorrow, the front's structure will weaken, and weather across the country will improve to cloudy with sunny intervals. The Central Weather Administration has issued a heavy rain advisory for areas from Taoyuan northward and Yilan, warning of short-duration heavy rainfall, lightning, and strong gusts. Wu also noted that Typhoon Chan-hom may bring moisture to northern Taiwan starting June 1st, and advised the public to monitor its path.
