MOFA Vice Minister Chen Ming-chi hosted a banquet, expressing hope for continued cooperation to strengthen global democratic supply chain resilience. Toland stated that they will continue to expand mutually beneficial partnerships. MOFA released a press statement this morning noting that Toland is visiting from the 27th to the 31st. This is his second visit following last year's trip. Chen hosted the delegation on the 28th, exchanging views on deepening investment, high-tech, education, and talent training. Chen expressed pleasure at the deepening cooperation in high-tech industries and hopes for continued efforts to strengthen supply chain resilience and bilateral exchanges. Toland emphasized that Taiwan is a top-five trade partner for Kansas, with fruitful results in agriculture, education, and drones. He plans to continue promoting tech and talent exchanges. The delegation will meet with the Taipei City Government to discuss smart city cooperation, visit the Ministry of the Interior's Architecture and Building Research Institute, and engage with local energy, battery, and drone suppliers to expand industrial cooperation.
