According to the Central News Agency, the New Taipei City Government announced today that the Sanying Line is ready for its final inspection on June 7, a critical milestone before the line begins operations. The Department of Rapid Transit Systems stated that after the initial inspection on April 26, the department and New Taipei Metro Corporation completed all necessary improvements and applied to the Ministry of Transportation for the final inspection on May 14.

Director-General Lee Cheng-an explained that following a pre-inspection meeting held by the Ministry of Transportation yesterday, which involved nine experts in civil engineering, electromechanical systems, and operations, the final inspection was scheduled for June 7. Once the inspection is passed and an operating permit is issued, preparations for opening will begin immediately. The department prioritizes safety, and staff have been conducting emergency drills to ensure readiness.

The Sanying Line is a medium-capacity system spanning 14.29 kilometers with 12 stations, connecting Tucheng, Sanxia, and Yingge districts. It offers seamless transfers to the Bannan Line at Dingpu Station. Once operational, commute times between the Sanying area and Taipei City are expected to be reduced by approximately 20 minutes, while also improving access to landmarks such as the New Taipei City Art Museum and the Yingge Ceramics Old Street.
