US-based musician Mei-Ann Chen will serve as guest conductor for the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (NTSO), collaborating with rising pianist Kai-Min Chang. The concert will feature Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1, a piece known for its profound emotion and symphonic dialogue. Chen, who has served as music director of the Chicago Sinfonietta, is a highly acclaimed conductor. Chang, a prize-winner at the Leeds International Piano Competition, is a rising talent. Performances are scheduled for June 5 at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) and June 6 at the Taichung Chung Shan Hall.
