The company has positioned its Penang, Malaysia site as an 'ASEAN Shared Service Center,' assisting international and local firms in driving digital transformation and accelerating the integration of AI technology into industrial ecosystems. Penang is a key hub for Malaysia's semiconductor and electronics industries. Advantech has established its center in the Saga Jaya Industrial Park in Butterworth, serving as a critical node for its 'China+1' strategy. Elvin Ng, General Manager of Advantech Malaysia, noted that Penang is considered the 'Silicon Valley' of Southeast Asia due to its mature industrial clusters. The company is leveraging its WEDA platform to facilitate digital transformation for the manufacturing sector.
