Taiwan's professional basketball league, P. LEAGUE+ (PLG), announced its annual Most Valuable Player (MVP) award today, with Lu Chun-Hsiang of the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots taking the honor. He has become the first player in league history to achieve a three-peat as MVP. Additionally, his teammate Alec Brown was named the Best Foreign Player. According to data released by the PLG, out of 28 total votes (including 2 fan votes), Lu Chun-Hsiang received 27 first-place votes, securing the MVP title without suspense. Lu averaged 18.5 points per game this season, ranking third in the league and highest among non-foreign players. He also became the first player in PLG history to surpass 2,000 total points in the regular season. Furthermore, he achieved the feat of being named the monthly MVP for three consecutive months. His teammate, Alec Brown, delivered an all-around performance averaging 14.9 points, 8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.9 blocks. He had already secured the titles of Best Blocker, Defensive Player of the Year, and was named to the All-Defensive First Team. By winning the Best Foreign Player award, he became the first player in league history to repeat the honor. The PLG also announced the All-PLG First Team today, which includes the Pilots' Alec Brown, Lu Chun-Hsiang, and Li Chia-kang, along with Fubon Braves' Mouhamed Mbaye and Tainan TSG GhostHawks' Ku Mao Wei-chia. Mbaye was selected for the first time in his career, while Lu and Ku Mao were selected unanimously. Following the Fubon Braves' victory over the GhostHawks in the first round of the playoffs, the championship series will begin on June 5, featuring the Pilots against the Braves.
