The "Sampo-Genki Integrated Long-Term Care Facility" held its groundbreaking ceremony today in the South District of Tainan City. With an investment of approximately 600 million TWD, the project will construct a multi-service facility offering residential long-term care, day care, rehabilitation, and home care services. It is scheduled to be completed and operational by 2028. Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che, Director-General of the National Property Administration Tseng Kuo-chi, Sampo Group President Chen Sheng-tien, and Japan's Genki Group Chairman Kanari Hiroshi attended the ceremony today, witnessing a new boost to Tainan's elderly care services. Mayor Huang stated that by utilizing land provided by the National Property Administration and combining the professional expertise of the Sampo Group and the Genki Group, the project links land revitalization, corporate investment, and the benefits of long-term care services. This will create local employment opportunities and help perfect the city's elderly care service network. According to the city government, the site for the Sampo-Genki Integrated Long-Term Care Facility is located on five plots of state-owned land in the South District, formerly the Nanshui Third Village in the Yancheng section. The Tainan City Government led the initiative and cooperated with the National Property Administration to promote development, attract investment, revitalize the land, and drive the development of the elderly health and service industry. The city government explained that the Sampo Group and Japan's Genki Group jointly established the "Sampo-Genki Long-Term Care Corporation," with Tainan as their first base. The facility covers an area of approximately 660 pings, with plans to build a five-story building above ground and one floor underground, totaling approximately 2,000 pings of floor space. It will provide 99 beds for residential long-term care and combine diverse services such as day care, rehabilitation support, and home care.
