According to US media reports, Blue Origin's 'New Glenn' rocket exploded during an ignition test at the launchpad in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Blue Origin issued a brief statement on X, stating, 'We encountered an anomaly during today's ignition test,' and confirmed that all personnel were safe. Footage showed smoke rising from beneath the rocket, followed by a massive fireball. Florida Congressman Mike Haridopolos stated on X that he had been in contact with NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman regarding the explosion. He expressed gratitude that no casualties were reported and thanked the first responders and the launch team. Blue Origin is the aerospace company founded by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. The company's New Glenn rocket had previously failed to place a communications satellite into the correct orbit last month, triggering an investigation.
