Ministry of Finance: Income Tax Filing Deadline June 1; 6.13 Million Households Filed

The Ministry of Finance in Taiwan reminded the public that the income tax filing deadline for the 114th fiscal year is June 1. As of May 28, 6.136 million individual income tax returns have been filed, accounting for 87.9% of last year's total. Citizens wishing to file via smartphone can use the 'Ministry of Finance Electronic Filing and Tax Payment Service' website to verify their identity, download tax estimates, and edit data. For those needing in-person assistance, local tax offices will extend their hours until 7:00 PM on the June 1 deadline. Notably, 99.7% of filings have been completed via online or tax estimation services.
