Central News Agency, Taipei, May 29. EVA Air completed its full board election at its annual shareholders' meeting today. Evergreen Marine, Evergreen International, and Hui Company each secured two board seats. Notably, Zhang Sheng-en, a director of the Chang Yung-fa Foundation, joined the board for the first time. As the son of Zhang Guo-hua, the eldest son of EVA Air founder Chang Yung-fa, his appointment has drawn market attention and sparked speculation regarding third-generation succession. The board re-elected Lin Bao-shui as chairman. New board members include Liao Zhi-wei and Zhang Sheng-en. Zhang Sheng-en holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham and has gained experience across various departments at Evergreen Marine, including international markets, planning, and corporate governance.
