According to the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the number of Taiwanese outbound travelers reached 7,121,102 from January to April this year, a 19.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Japan remains the most popular destination, with 37.3% of travelers choosing to visit. While the total for the first four months is high, April saw 1,755,897 travelers, which is relatively lower compared to other months this year. By destination, Japan leads at 37.3%, followed by China at approximately 16.7%, and South Korea at 10.2%. Regarding inbound tourism, the number of visitors to Taiwan reached 2,990,657, a 3.8% increase YoY. In April alone, there were 758,613 visitors, a 0.99% increase. Key markets in April included Japan (109,235, +12.33%), Hong Kong/Macau (116,758, -13.13%), and South Korea (82,621, +4.20%).
