In Penghu County, a resident surnamed Sun was rescued last night after their SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) drifted off the coast of Magong's Shili area due to strong winds and high waves, leaving them unable to return to shore. The Coast Guard Administration's Penghu Flotilla received the report at 8:08 PM and immediately dispatched a coastal patrol boat (CP1081). The patrol boat located the individual and the SUP 0.83 nautical miles south of Shili and successfully brought them aboard. The individual was wearing a life jacket, remained conscious, and had no visible injuries. The Coast Guard urges the public to be mindful of changing sea conditions, strong gusts, and rip currents when engaging in water activities, and to call '118' for assistance in emergencies.
