Comedy Club Splashed with Paint and Excrement; Police Track Financial Flows and Masterminds

Taipei police have arrested two suspects, surnamed Guo and Tsai, after the 'Comedy' club was splashed with excrement. While there is public concern over whether the incident is related to comedian Huang Yi-hao's satire of Xi Jinping, Guo denied this. Police have launched an investigation into the financial flows and potential masterminds behind the attack. According to the investigation, Tsai, who is unemployed, drove Guo, who works in elevator maintenance, to the scene. Guo admitted to throwing a mixture of white paint and excrement into the venue. Tsai claimed he only went to meet Guo and was unaware of the plan. Guo claimed he acted out of frustration over the venue's frequent mention of cross-border issues and difficulty in booking tickets. The club was hosting a rehearsal for a show featuring Huang Yi-hao, who has publicly mocked Xi Jinping. Police are currently analyzing Guo's social connections and financial records, and have sent his phone for digital forensics. The Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) emphasized that the government will not tolerate any violence or harassment and is firmly countering cross-border suppression.
