Central News Agency, Taipei, May 31. The Ministry of Education's Youth Development Administration (YDA) has recruited private organizations to join 'Youth Hubs.' This year, they are connecting marine-themed hubs to plan deep local courses and practical programs, such as canoe hydrological observation, whale and dolphin recording, and field studies in aquaculture. The YDA stated that to cultivate regional revitalization talent, they recruit organizations to provide youth with opportunities to engage in local affairs and build a foundation for regional action. This year, they are linking hubs in Yilan, Penghu, Pingtung, and Hualien to address issues like aging fishing villages and environmental conservation. Yilan's 'Seabelongings' hub, focusing on Guishan Island culture, collaborated with Pingtung's 'Size Port Side' and Penghu's 'Nong Yu Hai' to compile a 'Sea Route' manual, simplifying local knowledge and integrating AI. Penghu's hub offers courses on marine waste and elderly wisdom, while Pingtung's hub focuses on career diversity through 45-day field rotations. Hualien's 'Dolphtw' hub promotes tourism transformation, inviting writer Liao Hong-ji to lead youth in underwater recording and marine research to cultivate professional talent.
