Man arrested for spraying pepper spray at Keelung Miaokou

According to the Central News Agency, a 25-year-old man surnamed Luo sprayed pepper spray while walking through the Keelung Miaokou commercial district on the 31st, causing passersby to cough and tear up. Police identified Luo through surveillance footage and brought him in for questioning. Luo admitted to the act, claiming he was playing around with friends while intoxicated. The police have referred the case to the Keelung District Court for violating Article 63 of the Social Order Maintenance Act, which prohibits carrying dangerous weapons or chemical agents without justification. Police urge the public to call 110 if they witness suspicious behavior in public spaces.
