The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) released the 2025 compensation information for all employees of listed companies today. Including salary, social insurance, pensions, and other benefits, and excluding director compensation, the average salary and benefits reached 1.69 million TWD, a 6.3% increase from 2024. The average base salary was 1.456 million TWD, up 6.6%. Among 988 listed companies, about 60% saw salary growth. By industry, the semiconductor sector ranked highest, driven by AI market demand and technological advancement. Other sectors, including computer peripherals, information services, electronic components, machinery, energy, paper, biotech, green energy, finance, sports, tourism, plastics, glass, and rubber, also saw growth ranging from 0.1% to 9.8%. The total number of employees reached 1.27 million, up 2.1%. The TWSE interprets this as a virtuous cycle where capital market growth stimulates consumption and employment across all sectors.
