Following a US military strike on a port in southern Iran that briefly escalated military tensions, the Iranian Foreign Ministry accused the US today of continuing to violate the ceasefire. At the same time, it stated that no negotiations regarding the details of Iran's nuclear program are currently taking place with the US. According to AFP, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said at a weekly press conference that the US is violating the ceasefire agreement and that Iran will 'take all measures it deems necessary to safeguard its national security.' Kuwait, a US ally in the Persian Gulf, announced today that its air defense systems intercepted incoming missiles and drones, pointing the finger at Iran. Since the US and Israel launched military operations against Iran on February 28, the conflict has spread across the Middle East. Baqaei also stated today that regarding the nuclear program, 'there are no negotiations currently taking place; at this stage, our priority is to end the war.' Additionally, Hezbollah in Lebanon continues to attack Israel, and Iran emphasized it will continue to support Lebanon.
