The Taipei Department of Health announced today that as of April 30, 126 swimming pool inspections were conducted, with 122 passing, resulting in a 96.8% pass rate. Four facilities failed due to excessive coliform or total bacterial counts. In accordance with the 'Taipei City Business Hygiene Management Autonomous Regulations,' these facilities were fined between 2,000 and 10,000 TWD and ordered to make improvements. Failure to pass re-inspection will result in continued penalties. The department reminded the public to follow the '3 Dos and 5 Don'ts' hygiene rules, including showering before entering and avoiding the pool if sick.
