Taiwan stocks rise by 604.97 points

(CNA) The Taipei stock market opened higher today and continued to rise, closing up 604.97 points at 45,337.91 points, an increase of 1.35%. The total trading volume reached 1.477 trillion TWD. The weighted index opened at 44,872.82 points, with an intraday high of 45,931.1 points and a low of 44,872.82 points. Excluding financial stocks, the index rose 534.43 points to 41,203.71 points.
