According to the Central News Agency, Taiwan stocks continued to rally last week, with the index closing at 44,732.94 points on May 29, setting a new record high. The index rose 2,464.97 points, or 5.83%, for the week. According to statistics from the Taiwan Stock Exchange, foreign investors net bought NT$165.032 billion in the centralized market last week, ending their previous two-week selling streak. In terms of individual stocks, the top three companies bought by foreign investors last week were PSMC (319,766 shares), Fubon Financial (185,141 shares), and Hon Hai (174,153 shares). On the selling side, the top three companies sold by foreign investors last week were Innolux (301,356 shares), Taishin Shin Kong Financial (249,109 shares), and Hua Nan Financial (180,836 shares). Additionally, statistics from the beginning of this year to May 29 show that foreign investors have a cumulative net sell of NT$349.358 billion. The total market value of stocks held by foreign investors is NT$72.2809 trillion, accounting for 49.54% of the total market value of all listed stocks.
