(CNA, Kyiv, 1st) As the Russia-Ukraine war enters its fifth year, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated today that Ukrainian forces are now capable of striking Russian logistics throughout occupied areas of the country. According to Reuters, Zelenskyy said in a video address, "Our forces now have the capability to reach Russian logistics across almost the entire temporarily occupied territory." He added, "In fact, in the south and east of our country, there are almost no safe roads for the occupying forces." He also noted that between January and May of this year, Ukrainian forces struck 15 oil refineries within Russia. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine's actions "further prove that the occupiers will not have peaceful days on our land." He further mentioned, "This is also reflected in the shortage of supplies, especially the fuel shortages in Crimea and other still-occupied regions."
