According to CNA reporter Chang Chien-chung, MediaTek CEO Rick Tsai stated on the 1st that Taiwanese companies possess the characteristics of flexibility and discipline. He noted that Taiwanese enterprises need to internationalize, and regarding the development of physical AI, Taiwan should improve its understanding of systems. Tsai pointed out that Taiwanese companies are flexible and disciplined, citing TSMC as an example of a company that can serve many different clients with different technologies while maintaining the discipline to produce consistent chips. Tsai mentioned that MediaTek has many different chips, and NVIDIA is both a customer and a design partner, with the two companies collaborating to develop the complex GB10 chip. Regarding physical AI development such as robotics, he stated that Taiwanese companies need to improve their understanding of systems, because without it, they are like 'blind men touching an elephant,' where the chips produced cannot match the system, leading to time-consuming modifications. However, he expressed hope for cooperation. Tsai concluded that by finding basic value and collaborating with world-class companies, Taiwan can grow further.
