Central News Agency, Taipei, June 1. Following President Lai Ching-te's visit to Eswatini in early May, Presidential Office spokesperson Kuo Ya-hui announced today that Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim will visit the Republic of Palau from June 6 to June 10. This marks Hsiao's first visit to a diplomatic ally since taking office. Kuo stated that the visit is in response to an invitation from Palau President Surangel Whipps Jr. The trip aims to achieve three main goals: deepening bilateral ties, promoting sustainable tourism in Palau, and witnessing the results of the Taiwan-Palau cooperation projects. Hsiao is expected to meet with President Whipps to further strengthen the friendship between the two nations.
